A Cornerstone in Design

CT Engineering would like to recognize and thank Todd Eaton for his excellent work on the Bellevue Youth Theatre. This unique dome-like structure was designed using cast-in-place and precast concrete elements to construct this theater-in-the-round. The precast concrete roof beams are supported at the center of the dome by a precast concrete center compression ring that resonates with a design configuration used in the Kingdome. This 12,000-square-foot structure was built into the hillside with the park’s lawn rolling up onto the theater’s roof.

This project has been recognized by PCI – Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute for their 2015 Design Award: Best Theater.  CLICK HERE for more information.
